List Tag

There are three types of list:

Ordered lists (numbering) :- Order list start with <OL> and end with </OL> tags. Each order list item start with <LI> tag. There are some attributes of <LI> tag are:

List-style-type :- “1” will give counting number (1,2,……,).

List-style-type :- “A” will give uppercase letter (A,B,……..,).

For example:

<OL style=”list-style-type:”decimal” start=”3″>

<LI> Hard disk </LI

<LI> Mouse </LI>

</OL>

Unorderel list (Bullets) :-  Unorder list start with <UL> and end with </UL> tags. Each order list item start with <LI> tag. There are some attributes of <LI> tag are:

List-style-type :- Full round (circls)will give the solid black bullet.

List-style-type :- Square will give the solid black bullet.

For example:

<UL style=”list-style: circle”>

   <LI> Hard disk </LI>

  <LI> Mouse </LI>

</UL>

Definition list :- The definition list values appear within tag <DL> and </DL>. Definition list consists of two Parts:

Definition item : Item appear after the <DT> tag.

Definition description : Description appear after the <DD> tag.

for example:

<DT> keyboard

<DD> an input device

<DT> Printer

<DD> an output device
